Cycle Compounds

The QMP Cycle Compound is our flagship cycle storage structure with its stylish curved roof and modular design. The basic unit holds 16 cycles, and further units can be added to create a storage facility for a large number of cycles. As such, this Compound is proving highly popular with schools and colleges as well as in commercial applications.

The Compound is constructed from a rugged steel tube frame together with clear Perspex side panels.  This gives good 360 degree visibility and ensures there are no secluded corners within the structure. The roof is made from a translucent twin layer polycarbonate which filters out most of the sun’s UV rays. A lockable gate is provided as standard, and an optional extra is a security canopy. This not only makes unauthorised access to the structure more difficult, it also provides weather protection for the central area of the compound.

Bike storage in the compound comes in the form of integral twin level bike racks which make for efficient storage of bikes in a small space – eight bikes can be secured in a 3m run. The racks accept most sizes of bike tyre including those found on mountain bikes and allow the user to chain a wheel of the bike to the rack.

The QMP Cycle Compound must be installed by bolting the feet to 250mm thick concrete pads, or by embedding the legs in concrete below ground level. Installing directly into block paving or tarmac is not recommended.

A choice of frame colours is available as standard with optional special colours available for a modest extra cost.
