Cleanroom partition comes in various standards measured by the number of particles per square foot or metre.  Food and drink is nominally rated at ISO 7 and the lower the number the better the rating.  This cleanroom partition system here can be used for ISO 5 which includes Hospitals and Pharmaceuticals facilities also Aerospace.  The highest classification is ISO 3 used mainly for Micro-Electronics (Based on ISO 14644-1). The Federal 209D standard measures the same way but the equivalent to ISO 3 is Class 1 with this cleanroom partition system Class 100.

Cleanrooms are a specially designated area where air flow, filters and clothing along with procedures are all required to maintain the correct class.

Toledo CR-2 has been designed specifically for cleanrooms. Its two line junction keeps dust traps to a minimum and its powder coated finish is an ideal surface for clean environments. It is also completely demountable, enabling one panel to be removed without having to dismantle the whole enclosure. All hardware accessories come in stainless steel as standard due to its excellent ‘clean’properties.
Cleanroom theory
This guide is intended to outline the basics of cleanroom construction and how Toledo CR-2 partitions can be used as a part of a complete cleanroom solution.
Maximum performance is obtained by sealing all joints after installation, including perimeters to glazed apertures. Normal applications would be in dry
environments, where Toledo can be cleaned using the specifications.

Toledo CR-2 is a high quality double skin cleanroom partitioning system, although its versatility allows it to be used in more than just cleanroom applications. Used in conjunction with the correct air handling and HVAC systems, Toledo CR-2 is ideal for working towards an ISO 14644-1 class 5 cleanroom
environment. This is achieved by reducing the number of joints and ledges, using special flush glazing and by utilising coved skirting.
Maximum performance is obtained by sealing all joints after installation, including perimeters to glazed apertures.
Ceilings are formed from a single line junction panel with an optional facility for carrying a person’s weight for maintenance purposes.
Toledo CR-2 can be multi-tiered and profiled for warehouse and office divisions to create a more appropriate environment in specialised areas.

The Open Academy will moved into a new, purpose built building in September 2010.

The outline design was chosen to reflect the ethos of the school enabling them to hold full school assemblies in their unique Open Forum.
Learning zones have been designed to support all learners of different abilities. The outside space has been created as a classroom to support their environmental approach. The building itself will be able to be ‘read’ by students and staff alike to see how it is responding to different weather conditions and how much energy it is using.
Lockers manufactured in the UK
Jon Platten, the newly appointed Principle of the Academy stated “The new building is a clear demonstration of investment in the community and I hope it will be the focus of many opportunities for young people.“
The Main Contractor for the site appointed a London based consultancy company to project manage the supply of furniture and equipment on this prestigious contract. The practice is well known for delivering schemes that reflect best possible value in design, specification, performance and cost. To meet a very demanding brief to supply lockers for the Academy, the client turned to locker manufacturer Probe Storage Solutions. Sales & Marketing Director, Alastair McKay takes up the story, “We have developed ‘Probe Shockproof’ lockers specifically for this type of environment. Our lockers are manufactured in the UK to the highest standards of quality and appearance.

The robust construction enhances the aspects of anti-vandalism and security. Each locker compartment is fitted with a solid grade, inset, laminate door. This amazing material is resistant to impact, scratches and graffiti. Each door has two hinges protected by a securing plate and latched with a Hasp & Staple lock.”

Students will provide their own padlocks to secure their lockers. Some 300 lockers have been installed around the Academy in varying shadesof Red, Blue and Yellow . Coloured doors are located in a random pattern which compliments the dramatic interior design of each area where the lockers are sited. Probe Storage Solutions has been manufacturing innovative locker and storage systems for over 40 years from their combined 130,000 square foot manufacturing and warehouse facilities in Hyde and Chester, Cheshire.
